Notes for DELILA MARGANNA BEVIL:
She was born in Wood County, near Quitman, Texas and she was baptized by Rev. Autry in Wood County at the age of 8 years. Her parents were Francis Bevil born in Illinois and Lucindy Grice born in Alabama, She had two sisters, Mrs Mary Martin who lived in Arkansas and Mrs, Ida Robinson, who lived in Sulphur Springs Texas. She also had a half sister Mrs. Fannie Glasscock Dagley Sanders of Sulphur Springs. She lived in and around Sulphur Springs for many years. Duard spent some time as a caretaker of the cemetery there and spent a greater part of his life in the country where he farmed. The above was taken from a typed extraction of the family bible.
She died from a cerebral hemorrhage which took three days of suffering. She died in Hopkins County Nursing Home. She was buried in Martin Springs Cemetery on March 16, 1968. This information came from Mary Woods.

William Andrew Cook had a very hard life. He was married four times. His first wife was Martha Elen Neal. They had seven children together. However only one of them lived past the age of five years. She died in 1907.
His second wife was Nannie Waller. Together they had four children of which only two lived past the age 2 years old. Nannie died on March 28, 1928. They were living in Dallas at the time.
His third wife was Tillie. This didn't last long. Before 1936 they divorced. They had no children. In 1936 he moved to Arbala to be near Ester Mary.
On October 3, 1936 he married Lillian Inez Douglas. He had one child WA. Inez was 23 when they married. She had one child, Nawana Lee. William was 62 years old. William was 15 years older than Inez's father.
He had his first child at age 23 and he was 64 when his last child was born. He had 12 children all together, however eight of them died prior to reaching the age of 2.
He broke his back in 1938. A tree had fallen on him and knocked him into a river. Inez, who was pregnant with WA at the time, pulled him out and up to a road. He had a large round scar in the middle of his back which looked like a big hole. His occupations were a farmer and a framer. He died in his sleep from heart failure. He was 86 years old.

Obituary for Nelia Seymore:
Funeral Services for Veta "Nelia" Seymore, 77, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 22 in Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with David Nestor Officiating.
Internment will follow the services in Restlawn Memorial Park with Talley Bell, Mike Miesse, Billy Ray Douglas ,Larry Argenbright, Thomas Seymore, Sam Hershey, Joel Dougan and Ricky Birchfield serving as pall-bearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Seymore died at 4:30 a.m. Monday Sept. 20, 1999 in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 10, 1921, in the Seymore Community, the daughter of Charlie and Mae Darlin Douglas. She married Elmer Seymore on December 21, 1939 in Sulphur Springs. He preceded her in Death in 1991. Mrs. Seymore was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of Shannon Oaks Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Lesley Seymore of Pineville LA, two grandchildren, Craig A. Seymore and Alicia A. Day; and two great grandchildren.
Mrs Seymore was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jess Douglas, Lawrance Douglas, and Billy Wayne Douglas; and one sister, Lillian Inez Cook.

A graveside service for Lela Mae Tennison 78, of Sulphur Springs were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, in Green View Cemetery with Chaplin Curtis French officiating.
Mrs. Tennison died Saturday, Sept. 25 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.
She was born in Como on April 19, 1926, to Frank William and Mary Lee Darlin Wood. She married Frank Tennison in Forth Worth on Fed 3. 1954. He preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Tennison was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Crockett of Alba and Linda Kay Pigg of Athens; one son, Buford "Butch" Ray Dillion in Mineola; two sisters, Fay Smith and Betty Pearson both of Sulphur Springs; and several grandchildren and great-children.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Gary Wayne Tennison and Ricky Lynn Tennison, and one grandson.

Funeral services foe Dewey Haney, 74, of Beckham Community were to be held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2000 in West Oaks Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Shaber officiating.
Interment was to follow in Rockdale Cemetery with Adam Haney, Jimmy Boswell, Rodney Boswell, David Smith, Steve Smith, and Darrell Box serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were to be Mr. Haney's nephews and Wesley McQueen.
Mr Haney died in his residence at 5:35 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2000, following an extended illness.
He was born in the Mahoney community on November 6, 1925, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Clara Alice Haney. He married Della Mae Darlin in Sulphur Springs on January 17, 1947. She survives.
Mr. Haney was veteran of the armed forces and served with the Navy in World War II. He was a pipe fitter and was employed for 12 years by Brown and Root. He retired in 1985.
He was a member of and served as a deacon in Beckham Missionary Baptist Church.
Other survivors include tow sons, Dewey Alfred Haney and James Ray Smith, both of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Dorothy Mae Haney and Shirley Dean McFarland, both of Sulphur Springs; one brother, Grady Troy Haney of Dallas; three sisters, Virgie Leola Coleman, Dessa Pearl Hatley and Goldie Wilma Darlin, all of Sulphur Springs; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brother, Earl Ellis Haney and Leslie Darwin Haney; one sister, Jessie Lucille Coleman.
